Musical Stylings of Miss Natalie John
At the Rose Live Music in Brooklyn.
Natalie performing with The Christopher Complex and Optimus Funk.

Subway Boots

I really like this shot. I think it's the combination of all the parallel lines heading out of the shot and the shape her legs are creating.

City Reminders

Columbus Circle is one of those points that always reminds you live in the biggest city in the country and just how cool it is.

Two New Lessons.

Alternate flash/lighting from another camera creates a softer light on the face.

Slow-shutter speed creates cool lighting effects.

Monkeytown!

One of the coolest venues I've been to in the city.
Musicians/the band in the round with couches surrounding and four walls of projector screens surrounding the couches.
The band, which was amazing, is Koren Ansambel.
Also, cool shot of a bottle of water and utensils!

Here Come the Bridesmaids!

Best costume I've ever totally hand made. Too bad the rain ate it up in about an hour!
Still - awesome!

St. Johns Place in Fall

The light leaves in black and white make it look like snow. (Too soon!!!!)

Reunion with My Cuties!

I haven't seen these two in a few months, and it's crazy how much they have grown since then!

Rug Store Decor
The nearby shops are getting ready for Halloween, and the skeleton on this store just looked so cool against the brightly colored rugs.

Another Day in the Park
I clearly LOVE wandering Prospect Park and taking random photos along the way. I like the size discrepancy and how the lamp post seems to have a commanding role here.

Natalie John Quartet

Sitting at this show, I had a "New York Moment." One of those times where it really hits you that you live in New York City.

Friday Night, but No Lights
Meg delivered some great company.
The Olive Vine Cafe delivered some great food, although I don't have a picture of our food (but another one of Meg!)
But in all of these places, there was little to no light, which makes taking good pictures difficult when you aren't using a flash or a tripod!

A Step Back

It almost looks like this photo could be from another era. (I know the Sepia is mostly what makes it look like that!) The street, Ryan's look, him being slightly out of focus, all of this gives me a vibe of eras gone by.

The colors, Duke, the colors!

Prospect Park is looking more and more beautiful everyday, with the changing of the leaves.

Meta-art?

I feel like this has to be meta-art or meta-photography, if those are even words.
I walk by this everyday on my walk to the B or Q train. And everyday, I say I'll take a picture, but don't. Well, I finally did, and it's interesting to have this picture of a collection of pictures taken at this exact spot. Bizarre, even.

Caricature of a New Yorker
This man sitting across from me on the subway just felt like a perfect New Yorker - on the subway reading his Sunday Times.
Now, if only he was drinking coffee, while talking on the phone, eating a bagel, and hopping in a cab all at the same time.

Oh, am I interrupting?

Seeing these two little cupids' silhouettes made me feel like I was intruding on a private and personal moment!
