"Fresh" Seafood photo taken by "photographer" Karen Hart.

This dingy boxes sitting out on the street definitely do not convey the idea of fresh.

Scarf as Art

I realize some of the pictures on here are a bit lame. You'll have to excuse me for that. I'm trying to continuously take pictures for my digital photography class, and some days I only come up with duds. This one is ok, but nothing too exciting.

On a Trip

I don't know if you can tell (because of the small nature of the pictures), but the sign says DRUGS. I was trying to get a steady image, but each one came out blurry.
Now, I like that it came out blurry. It's almost like the perspective of someone on drugs looking at the DRUGS sign.

Mirror of Erised

When looking at this picture I completely personify the guitar case. It is definitely looking in the mirror and seeing what it wants to be or what it wants to be near. I get a sense of longing - from a guitar case!

Up Close & Personal

I don't think this brick and bit of moss mind me being all "up in their business."
However, I do think that the crevices of this rock look awesome - the shadows combined with the color combined with the texture.

Self-Involved Much?

I normally wouldn't put pictures of myself up here, except that I have no other pictures from this day. Also, it looks kind of cool with the black and white and soft focus.
I'm liking it! Just not liking that it's of only me...

Where exactly?

Up on the roof? Or inside that apartment? I'm not entirely sure where they would like everyone to publicly park their cars.

10/6/2009 - but actually 10/13/2009
EDIT: This should be October 13th, 2009! I dated my pictures incorrectly!
More apartment photos for Mom!
Couch we got for free/$20 because we had a friend with a truck pick it up for us, and we gave him $20 for his help!
Other couch and bookshelf in the living room.
My new bedroom! (Although this doesn't show all of it!)

10/4/2009 - but actually 10/11/2009
EDIT: This should be October 11th, 2009! I totally dated my pictures incorrectly!
This would be our CD cover to our album titled 'The Night It All Came Together.'
Before everyone got to our pre-housewarming, a random group of me, Jeff, Jess, and Aaron sat in the living room for this lovely photo shoot.
By the way, I'm using photos from this night for the 4th (the night we actually had the pre-housewarming), the 5th (because we were definitely up past midnight), and the 6th because I have no pictures for that day and more pictures of my apartment for my mom! :)

It's so great to live near a park. To hear laughter, see families playing games, dogs running free, couples holding hands, kids exploring, and runners running.

Grand Army Plaza

Someone noted that were this beautiful archway in any other city or county, it would be the highlight, the site to be seen. But here in NYC, near all the glitter and glitz of skyscrapers, Lady Liberty, and bridges everywhere you look, this gets lost in the shuffle.
It sure is pretty though, and at least one New Yorker took a picture of it!!

Capturing Fall before it falls...

A tree just before sunset.
I love how the branches look - so spindly and thin.
Like it's a Mother Tree lifting up all the leaves to put away on a shelf somewhere.
What a wonderful way to start the month of October!

Monkey in the window and the reflection

The next four or five days of pictures all were captured while exploring my new neighborhood. It may not exactly reflect what I was doing those days, but it does show what I was looking at through the lens of my camera.

Beauty in full bloom.

I love the beautiful colors of this flower.
Found on my new street - Union St - in Park Slope!
Have I mentioned I love this neighborhood??

Photo update for Meg.

Apartment pictures posted for Mom.
Sense of relief for finally getting on top of this for Karen. Our beautiful brownstone apartment!
The living room.
Standard bathroom, where all the magic happens...

Our lovely yellow kitchen!
Back porch for grilling, sitting, eating, enjoying, relaxing... really it's a catch-all, and one of the coolest parts of the apartment.
Coming back in from off the porch.
This post is like an episode of MTV cribs. Except, it's Brooklynites on a budget cribs... or something equally clever.
